Hummingbird Floral Wreath - Haiti

Beautiful steel drum art with hummingbird and flowers in wreath shape. Haitian Metal Art is a beautiful way of recycling steel drums which were used to transport oil. The metal drums are purchased near the port, in the capitol city of Port au Prince and brought to the neighborhood of Croix-des-Bouquets, the center of the Haitian metalwork movement.  Art pieces are then hand-chiseled out of these recycled steel oil drums by Haitian artisans. This lovely piece has been additionally hand-painted.
